What Shopping Means to Us

Shopping for me is about experiences. The memories of the place, the people, and the connections made. I love the sparkling creative displays at Christmas time that bring joy and awe to my children. I love finding that unique store that sparks an idea for the perfect gift for someone, wrapped beautifully waiting to be presented. And of course, I love the airy seaside stores that allow you to bring the light-hearted fun of summer back home to enjoy all year round.

Shopping evokes memories. It takes me back to a wonderful place in time. A time when shopping was a total experience not a rushed event. My two sisters, my mother and I used to go to lunch every Saturday. Afterwards we would window shop and go in boutiques in which the window displays drew us in. It was especially exciting during the holidays where extra attention was given to detail creating a rememberable store ambience. The store employees knew us by name. We want to generate that same experience daily at Black Tie Beach. A total shopping experience to help with living, giving and entertaining.

To me, shopping is about sharing things with the people you love. Whether it’s sharing an afternoon shopping with your best friends, or picking out the perfect gift to share with a loved one. Something as simple as walking into a store has the power to create experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
